RE: How to handle RV house battery? / sparkles flying
Either that cable connection was loose and there was something drawing a fair bit of current from the battery or your tool shorted out on something metal. Not really anything else it could be. Unless maybe your battery is connected backwards?

RE: "Service Trailer Brake System" message on Suburban
I agree it is likely a corrosion related issue and you should inspect the trailer connector and the wiring that connects to it. Not sure what modules you were able to read with your code reader, but typically they are only good for the PCM, so there could be several other modules with faults that you are unable to detect.

RE: freshwater pump maddening problem
Internal leakage in the toilet? Is there a shut-off valve on the toilet you could use to isolate it from the rest of the system?

RE: Take apart signal lite switch? - Hi beam on with right turn
I took the multifunction switch on my old F250 apart and fixed it years ago. Needed the contacts cleaned up. Still working good. Wasn't a bad job. Lots of little springs in there you have to keep an eye on when it comes apart. They can travel pretty fast.

RE: 2014 winnebago vista battery drain, locked relay under dash
The speedo needle may be vibrating due to low system voltage. I wouldnt be concerned by that. If there is a switch for the dome light on the dash (probably by the headlamp switch) make sure it is turned off. It will activate the interior lamp relay, which will discharge the battery

RE: 2005 E450 Ford V10 intermittent misfires
CEL can light-up due to a bad or dirty electrical connection from the ECU to the sensor.
My mechanic always checked that at my service intervals.
And specifically throw only cylinder misfire codes (P0300 & P030X), no other codes?
We’re talking once a mile or so.
Check and make sure the center bolt holding your harmonic balancer on has not come loose

RE: Older Norcold fridge issue
I have been having the same issue with my fridge of the same vintage. I took the fridge out and set it on the ground and flipped it over several times and gave it a good shake on each side and while upside down. I put it back in and it is cooling again. I had to do this once in the past for the same issue and it had worked good up until recently. And that was in 2006. Didn't cost anything and the fridge is pretty easy to get out. May work in your situation too
Hmmm... I'll mention that. I totally spaced out that I did that in my old Komfort! The classic "burping" the fridge. :-)
Did you turn it upside down and back upright multiple times?
Lyle
Yup, I did. I rolled it end over end several times and it spent time on each surface and got a good shake each time. I could hear the refrigerant sloshing around in there every time.

RE: Trailer hitch with sway bars
Whether its true or not is not relevant. It's your dealer's stance and he's not likely to change his mind. If your old hitch is in good shape and rated for use on the new trailer, I would just install it myself. Easy enough job. If that's not possible, I guess you have to decide if it's worth buying a new hitch from this dealer.

RE: Need Help! Can't get anyone to work on my F53 6.8 engin
Pretty easy to get a throttle body and chuck it on there. One hose and 4 bolts

RE: Brake hose failures
Brake hoses are pretty robust and generally overbuilt for their use. I dont think a brake system would ever be able to generate enough pressure to damage one. Same with heat unless it is contacting an exhaust pipe or something. I agree there has to be something causing it to stretch or chafe etc.

RE: Electrical/Battery issue.
If you check the voltage at the converter and it's 14.5 volts and you only have 13.6 at the batteries, that is almost a 1 volt drop and may not be helping your situation. Might be a loose or corroded connection somewhere between batteries and converter. Check all your connections and check for voltage drop wherever you can

RE: Remove and remount entry door frame
I have had the entry door out of my trailer before. Pretty easy. Pull out the screw moulding, remove all the screws, pull out the door/frame assy. Just make sure to clean as necessary and apply new sealant around the opening before reinstalling the door.

RE: How screwed am I ? Boneheaded jacking mistake
I wouldn't be too concerned. You can use an adjustable wrench on there to straighten it out if you want.

RE: Fifth wheel Jerking with gas truck... not as noticeable
Sounds like it could also be a driveline shudder. Some trucks are more prone to it than others, depending on driveline type, wheelbase etc. They are fine at normal ride height until a load is applied and it changes the u-joint angles enough to create a shudder felt on accel from a stop.
